If you or your client are considering buying new construction, contact us before visiting any communities. Builders typically offer a 3 percent buyer’s agent commission, and you receive 75 percent of that. This applies only to homes purchased through builders with onsite sales representatives. Most builders require the agent to be present during the buyer’s first visit, or at least have the buyer mention you as their agent right away. Missing these steps could result in losing the full commission.
